The Cantonese class co-organized by OSA and the Mainland Students Association received an enthusiastic response, with as many as 100 new students from the Mainland participating. The activity was conducted in a group interactive format, allowing them to master Cantonese pronunciation and other skills in a good learning environment.

International Conference 2024: Expanding Potential and Caring for All at HKSYU

A three-day International Conference 2024 titled “Expanding Potential and Caring for All,” co-hosted by Hong Kong Shue Yan University and Saint Francis University, took place on November 8, 9, and 11, 2024. The session on November 11, titled “The Future Development of Caregiving Policy and Practice in Hong Kong: International Perspectives and Local Initiatives,” was successfully held at the HKSYU campus.

The exhibition “Seeing is Creating: Textual-Visual Narratives of Hong Kong/Children’s Literature”, organized by Dr Michelle CHAN from the Department of English and Literature at HKSYU, was held from November 6 to 18, 2024 at Parallel Space in Sham Shui Po. 

HKSYU Economics and Finance Students Win National Third Prize in HSBC China Future Business Leaders Challenge

Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU)'s “Let's Fire”, a team of second year students from the Department of Economics and Finance, participated in the inaugural 2024 HSBC China Future Business Leaders Challenge and won the Third Prize and ranked sixth in China.

AIA Scholarships Now Open for Applications

The AIA Foundation awarded the fourth round of AIA Scholarships to outstanding university students in Hong Kong on October 7, 2024. 14 students from Shue Yan University received this Scholarship, including four first-year students who were invited to the ceremony to celebrate their academic excellence and contributions to society.

Internship Experience Sharing

Bevan YIP, a Year 4 Finance and Technology student from Department of Economics and Finance of HKSYU, undertakes a credit-bearing internship at Kowloon Shangri-La for two months in 2024 summer. The internship enhanced his practical and technical skills, and solidified his passion for financial technology.

13 HKSYU Students Receive HSBC Scholarships at “HSBC Scholars Day 2024”

HSBC celebrated 284 outstanding students from 20 local universities and higher education institutions at the “HSBC Scholars Day 2024” on July 20,2024, held at the HSBC Main Building. A total of 13 outstanding Shue Yan students have received scholarships, in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and development.

HKSYU Association of Faculty of Commerce jointly organized the 3rd IAE University Singing Competition.

HKSYU Association of Faculty of Commerce, in collaboration with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, organized the “3rd IAE Joint University Singing Competition” on 21 September 2024, with pop singer Ms. Gin Lee as the guest performer and award presenter.
