The Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) accepts application from mature students. Please note the following admission details:

 

Mature applicants must be over the age of 23 by 1st September of the year of admission and be able to demonstrate sufficient motivation, knowledge and potential to indicate a high probability of being able to complete the programme successfully. Prospective mature applicants are invited to discuss their application with the Head of Department concerned in advance of the application period. Successful mature candidates will be admitted on an individual and exceptional basis.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their Chinese and English abilities, by presenting documentary evidence which may include IELTS or TOEFL results. Applicants may be invited to take language tests if deemed necessary and appropriate.

Applicants must submit their application online and upload the following supporting documents to the Admissions system:

1. A photo securely attached; and

2. Valid identification documents (such as Mainland ID card, passport or Hong Kong ID card original and copy); and
3. Non-refundable application fee: Local applicants: HKD200

Non-local applicants: HKD650 ; and

4. Submission of proof of academic qualification e.g. School academic results and certificates, professional and/ or public examination results, recommendation letter (wherever applicable)

Full-time local undergraduate students under the age of 30 are eligible to apply for Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP), a scheme offered by the government to provide means-tested financial assistance which can include grants (tuition fee and learning expenses) and/or low-interest loans to help meet living expenses. Students can apply for FASP after registration.
