There are many ways you can experience higher education. We currently recruit students with international qualifications from all parts of the world.

The Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) accepts application from students with overseas academic qualifications. Please note the following admission details:

 

Local or non-local applicants with overseas academic qualfications e.g. Australia, USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan or Macau can apply for our undergraduate programmes.


Applicants with overseas qualifications should be able to demonstrate his/her language proficiency, by presenting documentary evidence which may include TOEFL / IELTS and/or DSE / GCE / GCSE / IGCSE / IB results. Applicants without the University's recognized language qualification are required to sit for the language written exam accordingly.

Applicants must submit their application online and upload the following supporting documents to the Admissions system:

1.  photo securely attached; and
2.  Valid identification documents (such as Mainland ID card, passport or Hong Kong ID card original and copy); and

3.  Non-refundable application fee: Local applicants: HKD200

Non-local applicants: HKD650 ; and

4.  Academic credentials including academic transcripts, certificates, public examination scores and letters of recommendation (if applicable).

For applicants who have taken SAT / AP / ACT test, please send your official transcripts to the University via the official score sending platform of that examination body. You can search the following code accordingly:

(For local students only) Full-time local undergraduate students under the age of 30 are eligible to apply for Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP), a scheme offered by the government to provide means-tested financial assistance which can include grants (tuition fee and learning expenses) and/or low-interest loans to help meet living expenses. Students can apply for FASP after registration.

Remarks: Students studying the following programmes with Chinese elements,  including but not limited to Chinese Language and Culture, History, Social Work, Professional Counseling and Chinese-English translation, must have a certain level of Chinese writing and language ability (including Cantonese). The department may conduct interviews or written tests for non-Chinese speaking (including international students) applicants to ensure that they are suitable for taking relevant subjects.
