There are many ways you can experience higher education. We currently recruit students with international qualifications from all parts of the world.

The Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) accepts application from students taken the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma examination. Please note the following admission details:

 

Applicants should obtain an overall score of at least 24 points.

**Special arrangement for 2023/24 admissions: In case of official cancellation of the IB examination, HKSYU accept the ‘assessed’ diploma points and subject grades issued by IBO as evidence of students’ academic ability.

For English requirement:

Applicants should be able to demonstrate his/her English proficiency. Applicants can present documentary evidence which may include:

A minimum of Level 3 in DSE English; or

A minimum of 5.5 IELTS; or

A minimum of 550(paper-based) / 79 (internet-based) in TOEFL; or

Equivalent of the above*

 

Applicants without the University's recognized English language qualification maybe required to sit for the English written exam.

Applicants who submit their application in person should present the following supporting documents to the Admissions Office:
1. A completed application form with a photo securely attached; and
2. HKID card (both original and copy); and
3. A non-refundable application fee of HK$200 in cash; and
4. Submission of proof of academic qualification including IB results (in both original and copy, if applicable); and High school grade reports in both original and copy.

Full-time local undergraduate students under the age of 30 are eligible to apply for Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP), a scheme offered by the government to provide means-tested financial assistance which can include grants (tuition fee and learning expenses) and/or low-interest loans to help meet living expenses. Students can apply for FASP after registration.

iFREE Entrance Scholarship for the Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Digital Marketing programme

Starting from the academic year 2019/20, iFREE GROUP (HK) LTD will make available an annual entrance scholarship of HK$1,000,000 for new students admitted to Year 1 of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Digital Marketing (BBA-DM) programme. Each year, a maximum of 50 scholarships of HKD20,000 each will be made available.

Longbow Charity Foundation Entrance Scholarship for Commerce majors

Funded by the Longbow Charity Foundation Limited, HKSYU will be offering an entrance scholarship for new students admitted to Year 1 of selected Bachelor’s programmes in the Faculty of Commerce. Each recipient will be awarded HK$10,000. This scholarship aims at encouraging local students who have an enthusiastic interest in the world of commerce to become substantial contributors and future leaders.
