There are many ways you can experience higher education. We currently recruit students with international qualifications from all parts of the world.

The Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) accepts application from students taken the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma examination. Please note the following admission details:

 

Applicants should obtain a IB diploma and an overall score of at least 24 points.
 

For English requirement:

Applicants should be able to demonstrate his/her English proficiency. Applicants can present documentary evidence which may include:

A minimum of Level 3 in DSE English; or

A minimum of 5.5 IELTS; or

A minimum of 79 (internet-based) in TOEFL; or

Grade 4 or above in IB English or English Literature (HL/SL); or

Equivalent of the above*

 

*The final decision on equivalent qualifications rests with the university.  Applicants without the University's recognized English language qualification maybe required to sit for the English written exam.

Applicants must submit their application online and upload the following supporting documents to the Admissions system:

1. A recent photo of applicantand

2. Valid identification documents (such as Mainland ID card, passport or Hong Kong ID card original and copy); and
3. Non-refundable application fee: Local applicants: HKD250, Non-local applicants: HKD650 ; and

4. Submission of proof of academic qualification including IB results (in both original and copy, if applicable); and High school grade reports in both original* and copy.

 

Important Note: *Applicants are required to have their examination institution send the scores directly to the University.

 

Full-time local undergraduate students under the age of 30 are eligible to apply for Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP), a scheme offered by the government to provide means-tested financial assistance which can include grants (tuition fee and learning expenses) and/or low-interest loans to help meet living expenses. Students can apply for FASP after registration.
