The Hong Kong Undergraduate Student Financial Planner of the Year Award 2025, organized by the Society of Registered Financial Planners, attracted over 410 participants from 112 regional universities, forming 112 teams. The competition consisted of case analysis, video presentation, and live demonstration. After rigorous evaluation, the team "Let's Fire"—coached by Dr. Edward Tang and Dr. Woo Kai Yin from the Department of Economics and Finance, and comprising students Su Jiaxuan, Wan Xin (Department of Economics & Finance) and Xu Kexin (Department of Business Administration)—was awarded First Runner-Up. Meanwhile, two other students from the Department of Economics and Finance, Wang Boqun and Xiang Cheuk Yan, received Certificates of Merit.

This event enhanced students' awareness and professionalism in financial planning, enabled the application of theoretical knowledge in practice, and fostered critical thinking and teamwork skills essential for the finance industry.
