UAO Joint Two International Education Fairs in Malaysia and Mainland China
For Hong Kong Shue Yan University, the eventful month of April ended with an international presence, as the university participated in two international education fairs in Asia, showcasing its academic programmes and attracting students from different parts of the continent.
The University began the month by gathering with over 70 institutes from all corners of the region in Penang, Malaysia, for the two-day Malaysia Education Fair. Echoing with the theme of “Lighting Your Path”, HKSYU leveraged the platform to promote its International Foundation Year Programme and International Admissions for undergraduates with over 300 local students, parents and educators. The lately launched former offers an alternative path for overseas further study in Hong Kong. It aims to enhance language proficiency and prepare study skills among arts, social science, and business disciplines. The booth offered one-to-one overseas further study consultation, programme introductions, and souvenir distribution. The university's participation in this education fair has successfully raised awareness about its academic programmes and attracted students to pursue higher education at Hong Kong Shue Yan University.

The second event was the China International Education Exhibition Tour 2023, held on April 15 in Guangzhou. The University's booth reached over 400 mainland students, parents, and educators. Hong Kong Shue Yan University promoted its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to the visited mainlanders, providing them with information both valuable and meticulous on its academic offerings. Our programme consultants answered enquiries, like admissions requirements, career pathway, visa application, student hostel and life in Hong Kong, to students and parents, who were not only from Guangzhou province but also other regions such as Zhejiang.
As postgraduate studies in Hong Kong are increasingly coveted among mainlanders, our booth has also provided information for the research and taught master programmes, along with the doctoral postgraduate programmes. We highlighted the privileges of studying at Shue Yan University, featuring our top-rated scholars and interdisciplinary approach in the curriculum.
